Indian Railway is the biggest recruiter in India. Soon Railway is going to announce various vacancies through RRB Exam. So, job seeker must prepare for it.Candidates who want to get a railway job they must know about eligibility criteria of RRB exam. Railway

Basically, Railway exam is classified into two sections:
  • Non Technical Cadre
  • Technical cadre
Eligibility criteria for both cadres in detail are given below:

Non Technical cadre

Eligibility Criteria: Age Limitation:-18 years-30 years Candidates who will give railway exam their age must be between 18 years to 30 years. Relaxation in upper age for special category candidates would be extended as per government standard.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree / typing skills in English/Hindi
  • Candidates must have a graduation/ bachelor degree from recognized university/ Institute.
  • Applicant should possess knowledge of typing skills in English/Hindi on Computer as well as Typewriter.

Technical cadre

Eligibility Criteria: Age Limitation:-18 years-33 years Candidates who will appear in railway exam their age must be in between 18 years to 33 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates in upper age as per the government rules.

Educational Qualification:

  • 10+2 with Physics and maths and ITI in Computer Networking / Data Networking / Electrician.Candidates should have Graduation degree / 10+2 with Physics and maths and ITI from a well recognized university/ college.
  • Applicant should possess knowledge of typing skills in English/Hindi on Computer as well as Typewriter.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of demand draft/IPO/ Original post office receipt, if applicable, one identical colour photograph of size 3.5 CM X 3.5 CM pasted on the form, caste certificate, qualification certificates/ mark sheets, income certificate, medical certificate, NOC, minority declaration on Non-judicial stamp paper etc & other relevant documents on or before

Application Fee:

Candidates should pay Rs.100/- for UR & OBC male candidates through Demand draft/ IPO/ Original Post Office receipt drawn at the main branch of any branch of any of Nationalized bank drawn in favour of Assistant Secretary or Secretary or Member Secretary or Chairman of Railway Recruitment Board of concerned RRB. SC/ ST/Ex-servicemen/ Women/ Minorities/ PWD/ EBC candidates are exempted from fee.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test, skill test, interview, medical fitness test

Pattern

Exam is divided into two sections as

  1. Technical Cadre
  2. Non-Technical Cadre

Both have five major parts.

  2. General English
  3. Mathematics
  4. Physiological Test

Syllabus

General Awareness:

To crack this part you must have good knowledge about the current events and happening around the world. For this read the latest magazines and news paper daily.

Reasoning:

In this section verbal and non verbal reasoning questions are asked. If you are weak in Maths then you may get good marks in this section but practice the reasoning questions very well.

Computers

Candidate must have a working knowledge of computer. For computer exam preparation review the previous year question papers.

English:

You need to have good knowledge in the following topics for English exam.

  4. Rearranging of the sentences

Hindi:

 You need to have good command on Hindi. Prepare from 10th/12th class Hindi Syllabus.
