What is RRB?

Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) are Indian scheduled commercial banks; created with an aim to primarily serve the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services.  RRBs operate at a regional level at various states of India. For the recruitment of officers (Scale-I (PO), Scale-II (SO) & Scale-III (SM)) and office assistant (Clerk) (Multipurpose) after careful consideration, IBPS conducts national level examination annually to fill the vacancies at various branches of RRBs. There is less workload compared to that of public sector banks and candidates have more opportunity to get appointed in their state of choice.

Totally, 45 banks are participating in IBPS RRB Officer (Grade-I) 2019; candidates can refer the official notification for the list of participating banks.
