The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is India's central banking institution, which controls the issuance and supply of the Indian rupee. Until the Monetary Policy Committee was established in 2016, it also controlled monetary policy in India. It commenced its operations on 1 April 1935 in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India Act 1934. The original share capital was divided into shares of 100 each fully paid, which were initially owned entirely by private shareholders. Following India's independence on 15 August 1947, the RBI was nationalised on 1 January 1949

RBI Assistant 2018 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The RBI Assistant Exam pattern is same as other bank clerk exams followed by Preliminary, Main and Language Proficiency Test. Last year new changes were introduced in the exam pattern. Before applying candidates are required to go through the RBI Assistant 2018 eligibility criteria into two levels. To be qualified for the post of RBI Assistant students have to fulfill the following criteria: 1. Age Eligibility: Minimum Age is 20 Years and Maximum is 28 years. 2. Educational Qualification: Aspirants can check educational criteria below: Graduate from University/ Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India. Minimum of 50% marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate Knowledge of word processing on Personal Computer (PC).
